2017 KSMC Year in Review

Thought Leadership
To keep up with advancements in technology, our team thinks ahead of the curve. From hosting webinars to contributing to the KSMC blog, to attending conferences and events across the country, to leading Design Thinking workshops, our team enjoys sharing insights as much as we enjoy learning and applying them.

Technical Excellence
Our team is composed of life-long learners. Through KSMC’s support of the growth and development of the team, employees passed numerous exams to achieve new Microsoft and other technical competencies, finalized graduate degrees, grew and developed presentation skills via our new Toastmasters club, attended employee-led workshops ranging from software training to day-in-the-life experiences, participated in book clubs, and more.

Fearless Problem Solving
No challenge, big or small, is ever exactly the same. KSMC consultants aim to understand challenges before applying solutions. This approach leads to uncovering a challenge and then finding the right team to execute a solution. Across the organization, members of our technology, data analytics, project services, management consulting, and cybersecurity practices have worked together to fearlessly develop innovative solutions that lead to client success.

Perseverance
There are countless stories that demonstrate the team’s ability to dig deep when it comes to achieving success for clients. This year, we highlighted our work with the State of Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD). In a nutshell, KSMC took one year to turnaround a project that had stalled for 10 years and was ready to be written off as a failure, into a project that was successfully launched and continues to be an asset for DWD, citizens, and employers. Empathy
When it comes to empathy, we focus on a simple rule of thumb: it’s not about us.

We shared why technology requires empathy and a quick design thinking exercise on how empathy can be applied to every interaction you have on the KSMC blog.

Collaboration and Teamwork
Fearless problem solving doesn’t happen in a silo. This year, 25 new KSMC people joined our team to collaborate and iterate through some of our client’s most interesting challenges yet.
