Steve Combs
Steve Combs is a practice manager with KSM Consulting, LLC. Steve's primary responsibilities include overseeing the Financial Performance practice, developing successful financial strategies for KSMC clients and providing CFO transition services for a variety of situations. His 20+ years of financial experience has allowed him to develop expertise in helping management teams make better business decisions.
Steve provides a very unique combination of Fortune 50 corporate finance experience and small business entrepreneurship. His corporate experience has strengthened his ability to create systems and processes that ensure control. Yet his entrepreneurial experience has taught him the importance of speed and of dealing with uncertainty.
In Steve's 11 year career with a Fortune 50 corporation, he was responsible for the financial management of businesses ranging from $400M to $1B in revenue. His rapid advancement within the corporate financial organization included financial planning and analysis, manufacturing, product development and international distribution and systems integration. Steve's entrepreneurial experience includes the executive search industry as a co-founder and managing partner of a finance-oriented search firm. Steve also spent 3 years providing CFO services for businesses ranging in size from start-up to $20M in revenue.
Education
Steve received a Bachelors of Arts degree, Cum Laude, from DePauw University and a Master of Science in Industrial Administration from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University.
Associations and Community Involvement
Steve is a member of the Indiana Venture Club, former President of the Northside Business Builders, a member of the Washington Township Schools Foundation, Treasurer of the Dyslexia Institute of Indiana and a past member of the DePauw University Alumni Board (2003-2009).
